for the Poor and Aged
run by the Little Sisters of the Poor

In February and March 2010 our parish
Confirmation candidates held a night of Bingo for the residents of
the Archbishop Leibold Home for the Poor and Aged run by the Little
Sisters of the Poor in Clifton. Approximately 15 youth attended the
two sessions, enjoying an evening of bingo calling, beverage serving
and occasionally even bingo playing. Thanks to the Little Sisters
and the residents for welcoming us into their home!

Youth Group January 2008 Tubing Trip to Perfect North

on Sunday 2/24

The Pasta Dinner was part of a Bid-and-Buy Item
fundraiser for the parish. Approximately 40 people were served
lasagna and penne chicken pasta along with other delights. As part
of a pre-meal blessing for dinner Sarah Kroeger and Emma Kammerer
prepared a reflection based upon John’s Gospel about Jesus being the
Bread of Life. The reflection noted that Jesus nourishes both our
bodies and souls and that Lent is a good time to nourish our soul.
The reflection was read by Ryan Clark and Ian Bentley. Brandon
Brinkmiller arranged the music that entertained those dining. A
total of 19 youth helped prepare, serve and clean up after the
dinner. |
