Calling all Senior Citizens!!
Did you know that St. John Fisher has a newly formed
Senior Citizens’ Club? If you would like to join in the fun, just check the
bulletin for our upcoming plans. Anyone 50 and over is welcome. It is not
necessary to be a parishioner or, even, a Catholic. Feel free to bring a
family member, neighbor or friend. The more the merrier.
We plan to hold our meetings and activities on the second Wednesday of every
month. Dues are $10.00 this year. By next year we hope to be financially
stable enough to eliminate dues altogether.
Our first get together was a luncheon potluck on Wednesday, September 12. We
had a great turnout, wonderful food, and a lot of fun. Lynn McNamara won the
50-50 raffle.
October 10th we travelled by bus to Madison, Indiana for a day of
sightseeing, lunch by the river, and shopping.
November 14th at 1 pm we had a business meeting and election of
officers followed by a presentation on ELDER LAW, given by Dennison Keller,
Attorney at Law, parishioner, and elder law specialist.
Keep your eye on the bulletin for our monthly activities. We hope to see all
of you. |
